Making burgers in the oven is so simple with this Oven Baked Hamburgers recipe. Ground beef is combined with dried seasonings, dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce for maximum flavor. The patties bake in the oven and then they're ready to go.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (I use 90/10)
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 slices cheese (any variety, optional)
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • hamburger toppings (lettuce, tomato, condiments, onion, pickles)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375℉. Place a cooling rack onto a baking sheet OR use a oven crisp baking tray (a tray below with a rack over it to cook the burgers on).
    * For easier clean-up, line the baking tray with parchment paper or foil to catch any drippings from cooking.
  • Crumble the ground beef into a large mixing bowl. Add the dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder over top the beef. Use your clean hands to gently and thoroughly mix until well combined.
    * You can also use a wooden mixing spoon or spatula, but I find it easiest to use clean hands. It's also best to evenly sprinkle the dried seasoning all over the beef, that way you're not just dumping them into one pile in the center, which makes it harder to evenly mix them throughout.
1 pound ground beef, 1 tablespoon dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, ½ teaspoon ground black pepper, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Form the ground beef mixture into 4 burger patties. The patties will shrink and thicken while baking, so it's ok to form the patties into thin patties and larger in size than the buns.
    * If you're making thin patties you can easily get 6 burgers from the recipe.
  • Place the burger patties on top of the cooling rack and bake for 25-30 minutes or until they reach desired doneness and an internal temperature of 165℉.
    * If adding cheese, add the slice of cheese after they're baked and leave the pan in the oven for about 1 minute just to melt the cheese.
    4 slices cheese
  • Serve the burger patties on hamburger buns along with all your favorite hamburger toppings and condiments.

Notes

Nutrition Information : This is for 1 hamburger patty (using 90/10 ground beef) with 1 slice of American cheese, and 1 hamburger bun. Since the nutrition information varies so much for hamburger buns, this amount may be different depending one what bun you use. It does not include any additional toppings or condiments.
I use an Oven Crisp Baking Tray (linked above, found on Amazon) for this recipe. You can also just use a cookie sheet/baking sheet, place a cooling rack on it, and use that to cook the burgers.
