Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350℉. Spray a 9x13 baking pan with nonstick cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.* I always recommend spraying the pan with cooking spray and then pressing the parchment paper into the pan. The spray will help it adhere and stay in place when you're spreading the brownie batter into the pan.
Prepare the brownies according to the directions on the back of the box. Typically it calls for oil, eggs, and water.
1 box (18.4 oz) Family-Size Brownie Mix
Pour half of the brownie batter into the pan and spread it in an even layer.
Place 20 Oreos onto the brownie batter (in even rows) and gently press them into the batter.
20 Halloween Oreo cookies
Spoon the remaining brownie batter over top the Oreos and spread it into an even layer.
Bake for 28-31 minutes. When down, allow the brownies to cool completely inside the pan.
Stir the orange gel food coloring into the vanilla frosting container and mix well until it's the color you want. Spread the frosting over top the cooled brownies. * To get really fluffy and spreadable frosting I recommend putting the frosting and gel food coloring inside a mixing bowl and use an electric hand mixer to beat it until it's whipped and light. You can also use a stand mixer with the whisk attachment.
1 container (16 oz) vanilla frosting, orange gel food coloring
Break the remaining Oreo cookies into larger chunks and sprinkle them over the frosting. Decorate the top of the brownies with sprinkles and gummy worms.
Smaller Brownie Mix? : If you want to make a smaller batch (or that's all you have) then use a regular brownie mix (around 15-16 ounces) and use a 9x9 baking pan instead. You will also only need 16 Oreo cookies to stuff in the middle of the brownie batter.
